Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Cleveland, OH seeks an experienced estimator to develop Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concrete estimates from drawings and specs. You will lead bid preparation for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts and coordinate with procurement and design teams to refine scopes.

The role requires 3+ years of concrete estimating experience, strong reading of contract documents, and proficiency with estimating tools such as InEight. On-site work with limited travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience performing detailed estimates for concrete scopes of work.
• Bachelor's Degree from accredited program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field a plus.
• Experience with performing detailed estimates for concrete structures.
• Knowledge of reading contract documents, drawings, and schedules.
• Proficient with estimating software such as InEight.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concrete estimates based on drawings and specs.
• Generate labor productivity rates and maintain vendor relationships for pricing.
• Prepare bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts.
• Identify design issues and project risks and propose solutions with Preconstruction.
• Analyze SPO schedules for sequencing risk and create labor-loaded schedules.
• Collaborate on markups, labor rates, and information in estimates.
• Lead document management for SPO concrete projects and distribute to stakeholders.
• Attend constructability reviews and communicate issues to team and designers.
• Develop SPO concrete value analysis and pursue cost-efficient alternatives.
• Prepare scope requisitions and coordinate with project team to reduce gaps.
