Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a detail-oriented estimator to prepare Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concrete estimates from drawings and specs. You will communicate bids and develop scope of work for multiple contract types.

The role requires 3+ years of concrete estimating experience, the ability to read complex contract documents, and proficiency with MS Office and estimating software such as InEight. Limited travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience performing detailed estimates for concrete scopes of work.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management or related field is a plus.
• Experience with concrete structure estimates.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Proficient with MS Office and estimating software like InEight.
• Limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed SPO concrete estimates including take-offs and studies.
• Generate labor productivity rates with historical data and project constraints.
• Prepare and assemble bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts.
• Identify design issues and project risks and propose solutions with the Preconstruction team.
• Analyze SPO concrete project schedules for sequencing risk and create labor loaded schedules.
• Collaborate with SPO Manager on markups and rates for estimates.
• Lead document management for SPO concrete projects and distribute drawings/specs.
• Attend constructability reviews and communicate with team and designers.
• Develop SPO concrete value analysis studies for cost-efficiency.
• Support procurement with bid recording and post-bid reviews.
• May supervise estimating team and participate in recruiting.
