Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation seeks a Remote Security Officer to protect people and property at remote North Slope sites in Alaska. You will monitor premises, control access, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with on-site teams while adhering to contract safety standards.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years security/military experience, valid Alaska licenses, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote camp conditions, including dormitory living if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of full-time professional security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must obtain Alaska Guard License and State of Alaska Armed Guard License on hire.
• Handgun handling experience required to pass law enforcement style qualification.
• Eligible for certifications such as TWIC, ATF Explosives Possessor card, etc.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors and patrols assigned buildings, areas, or grounds.
• Controls entry; permits only authorized individuals to enter.
• Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
• Records data on incidents and property damage.
• Responds to emergencies and disasters to preserve life and property.
• Provides emergency medical intervention including CPR and AED.
• Maintains visitor and access lists.
• Works cooperatively with team and clients; no supervisory duties.
