Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is seeking a Remote Security Officer to serve diverse clients in remote Alaska locations. The role emphasizes health, safety, and security as top priorities, with on-site patrols, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response duties.

The position requires extreme reliability, the ability to work long shifts, and the capacity to live in dormitory-style camps while meeting all licensing and training requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Must obtain Alaska Guard License prior to starting work ($97).
• Must obtain State of Alaska Armed Guard License on hire.
• Handgun handling experience to pass a law enforcement style qualification.
• Eligible for TWIC and ATF Explosive Possessor card.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Pass pre-employment testing including drug, physical, fit-for-duty and hearing tests.
• Must live in dormitory-style settings and work as part of a team.
• Ability to make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Stand for 12 hours per shift.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors and patrols buildings, areas, or grounds.
• Permits only authorized individuals to enter.
• Patrols premises and checks doors/windows/gates.
• Records data on incidents and property matters.
• Warns violators and may apprehend or expel.
• Notifies on-site personnel of visitors.
• Responds to emergencies to protect life and property.
• Operates camp billeting and access control systems.
• Keeps lists of visitors/contractor access.
• Checks systems (heating, lighting, fire, etc.) for operation.
• Provides emergency medical intervention (CPR/AED).
• Reports safety and sanitation issues to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
