Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Security Operations Centre Specialist Lead to shape our global SOC strategy across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt. You will optimize technology and AI investments while safeguarding data, employees, riders, and partners.

You will lead a 24/7 security operations center, triage incidents, and drive continuous improvements in playbooks, metrics, and threat-detection use-cases across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of SOC experience with technical lead responsibility.
• Experience building threat detection in cloud-centric environments.
• Hands-on with AWS security config, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and Splunk.
• Practical security project management and implementation skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Strong collaboration and ability to explain complex issues.
• Working knowledge of ISO27001, GDPR, NIS2 and PCI-DSS.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SOC specialists and analysts, owning your shift.
• Serve as primary decision-maker for critical security matters.
• Operate in a 24/7 global SOC with night and weekend shifts.
• Lead triage and investigation of alerts across security domains.
• Develop and improve playbooks, processes, and documentation.
• Build autonomous AI runbooks to scale alert triage.
• Guide incident response and translate lessons into improvements.
• Develop threat-detection use-cases for cloud environments.
• Inform the risk framework with intelligence and incidents.
• Support investigations with Threat Intelligence and IR/DFStakeholders.
• Stay updated on threats and security trends; share insights.
• Use metrics/KPIs to improve security posture and operations.
• Collaborate on cybersecurity awareness programs for staff.
