Job summary

DoorDash is hiring for a senior data/ security engineering role focused on building and operating high-volume data pipelines across AWS and GCP for three brands, including Deliveroo and Wolt. You will own ingestion, cost control, automation, and reliability, influencing incident response, analytics, and platform strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating high-volume data pipelines in production at multi-terabyte-per-day scale.
• 4+ years writing production software in Python, Go, Rust, or Java: services and tooling used by others.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including IaC and CI/CD pipelines on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Strong SQL and data modeling in Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift with partitioning, cost control, and tuning.
• Track record owning reliability for a platform, including on-call.
• Experience building executive dashboards and engineering metrics that drive action.
• Proven leadership and technical project management across infra, platform engineering, and incident response.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaborative mindset, continuous learning.
• Familiarity with enterprise SIEM (Google SecOps/Chronicle, Splunk, Elastic, CrowdStrike LogScale) plus Kubernetes, Docker, runtime security controls.
• Hands-on time with security telemetry sources, detections-as-code (YARA-L, Sigma, SPL), LLM-assisted workflows, pentesting, red teaming, or bug-bounty triage is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-terabyte-per-day log pipelines across AWS and GCP: ingest, routing, enrichment, schema management, and onboarding new sources.
• Control ingest cost and volume, reduce noise at the edge without dropping audit logs.
• Model security data and tune query performance in Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Ship production services and integrations that other teams depend on: SIEM connectors, API clients, automation.
• Set and defend SLOs for log availability and freshness; build dashboards and alerts.
