Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a senior scientist to lead protein expression assays on tissues and liquid biopsies, overseeing assay design, validation, and testing while ensuring SOP compliance.

The role includes supervising laboratory staff, coordinating project timelines, and communicating results to clients to foster ongoing collaborations. Strong experience in cell culture, mIF, and digital pathology is required.

Qualifications

Ph.D. with 6+ years of lab experience or M.S. with 10+ years in academia or industry.
Experience in cell culture.
Experience with manual staining and automated protocols for multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF).
Ability to prioritize tasks and function in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of protein expression services to support translational research.
Design and perform experiments independently; analyze and present data.
Maintain high-quality output and improve productivity metrics.
Coordinate with management to develop project timelines and deliver on schedules.
Train and mentor junior staff in cell culture and antibody staining techniques, data analysis, and presentation.
Assist in establishing and improving SOPs and required documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve scientific issues; ensure qualified equipment and logs are up to date.
