Job summary

Precision Medicine Group in Houston seeks a senior scientist to lead protein expression assays on tissues and CTCs, oversee assay development, validation, and client communication.

The role supervises staff, ensures SOP adherence, mentors team members, writes reports, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time. A PhD with 6+ years or a Master’s with 10+ years is required, plus experience with cell culture and immunofluorescence.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with 6+ years lab experience.
• Alternatively, Master’s with 10+ years in academic core or industry.
• Experience with cell culture and staining protocols.
• Experience with digital pathology software (Indica Halo).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team.
• Excellent communication and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of protein expression services.
• Designs and performs experiments; analyzes and presents data.
• Maintains high quality output and improves productivity metrics.
• Coordinates with management on project timelines and deliverables.
• Trains and mentors junior staff in cell culture and staining techniques.
