Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Automation Engineer to design SCADA and communications systems for Electric Grid Infrastructure projects.

You will develop block diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA schematics, network drawings, and HMI applications, coordinating with relay settings engineers and IEDs to ensure reliable protection and automation,” The role involves configuring RTUs and PACs, producing system documentation, and testing integrated systems while adhering to CIP standards.

Qualifications

• Essential design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting experience for substation SCADA and communication systems.
• Experience with specified RTUs and software; travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Design SCADA and communications systems for electric grid projects.
• Develop block diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA schematics and network drawings.
• Coordinate with protection relays and IEDs for port settings.
• Develop data transfer points between RTUs, IEDs and master stations.
• Develop configuration for PACs and RTUs; program HMI applications.
• Create SCADA and network documentation; test and stage integrated systems.
