Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Pensacola is seeking a Supervisory Sales Associate to be the face of our brand for associates and customers. You will lead a team, promote our products and services, and reinforce a positive, productive work environment.

You will assist customers, identify their needs, and stay current on product features and promotions. Excellent communication and a service-oriented attitude are essential to educate customers and represent our organization

Qualifications

• 1 year responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.
• 1 year progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing the kind of duties which constitute the principal work of the position to be filled.
• Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience. At any level specialized experience may be substituted for required general experience. Candidates must have demonstrated in their work experience or training that they possess or have potential to develop the qualities of successful supervision.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers to assess needs and promote merchandise.
• Direct customers to products and inform them of upcoming events and promotions.
• Maintain store appearance and organization, ensuring accurate ticketing and inventory control.
• Utilize the POS system to process cash exchanges and returns, including discounts and gift cards.
• Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliations accurately and on time.
• Provide effective leadership, coaching, and feedback to sales associates and may open/close locations.
