Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help with displays. You may cover store leadership duties when the Store Manager is unavailable.

Expect frequent walking and standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and occasional travel to other stores. This is a full-time role based in a Dollar General location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Strong cash handling and checkout skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and maintain merchandise presentation.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and understand pricing policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, build displays.
• Clean the store and maintain restroom and stockroom areas.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate and assist Store Manager in their absence.
