Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-focused store and assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise. You will operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support store leadership in the absence of the Store Manager.

Responsibilities include customer service leadership, opening/closing the store, and maintaining safety and store policies. The role involves heavy lifting and frequent walking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Strong math skills for basic calculations.
• Ability to operate a cash register and process payments.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payments, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise and rotate displays; restock shelves; assist with planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, and maintain restrooms and stockrooms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager; support in absence of manager.
