Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to support a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate a cash register, stock shelves, and assist the Store Manager as needed.

In this lead role, you will open/close the store under direction, supervise in the Store Manager's absence, and help implement planograms to maximize availability and profitability. Strong communication and math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Strong math and cash handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and handle payments; assist customers with merchandise.
• Stock, rotate merchandise, and build displays according to planograms.
• Clean store; manage trash, floors, restrooms, and stockroom.
• Assist in store opening/closing under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager/Assistant Manager.
