Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first approach. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, and help with displays.

In this role, you may lead in the absence of store management and support daily operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; supervision experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guides.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash register tasks.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to drive to the bank to deposit money if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service leadership, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, process payments, bag items and assist customers.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise according to planograms.
• Clean and maintain the store, including floors and restrooms.
• Assist in opening/closing the store and support store manager in absence.
