Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help protect company assets while maximizing store profitability and customer satisfaction.

You may perform duties of a Sales Associate and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, ensuring smooth

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.
• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock, restock and rotate merchandise; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
