Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help implement planograms.

In this role, you may lead in the absence of the Store Manager and perform duties of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as needed. High school diploma and some supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Strong numerical and cash handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; process payments.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays and maintain store cleanliness.
• Open and close the store under the Store Manager's direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
