Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to provide top-notch customer service, assist customers with merchandise, operate the cash register, and support daily store operations. This role leads in the absence of store management and maintains planograms and displays.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred supervisory experience, with strong communication, math, and safety skills to help maximize sales and store profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Excellent customer service and cash-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and greet/assist customers.
• Operate cash register, scan items, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate displays; build displays and maintain neat aisles.
• Open and close the store as directed, or in the Store Manager’s/Assistant Manager’s absence.
• Follow planograms and merchandising guides; ensure planogram compliance.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety policies, assist with store maintenance and safety checks.
