Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store and assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise. You will operate cash register, manage stock, and help with displays and cleaning tasks.

The role includes opening/closing duties, assisting the Store Manager in their absence, and ensuring store profitability and asset protection. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; six months supervisory experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and cash-handling skills are required.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic math and ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays and maintain store cleanliness.
• Open/close the store as directed by the Store Manager.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
