Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate role supports a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help protect assets as directed by the Store Manager.

You will lead in the absence of the Store Manager, support planograms, and handle opening/closing duties in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and six months supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; process payments and bag merchandise.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise; build displays and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store/Assistant Manager.
