Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to ensure a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock and display merchandise, and uphold store standards.

In this role, you lead when managers are absent, manage planograms, and help protect company assets while contributing to profitability and customer satisfaction. High school diploma and some supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and cashier accountability.
• Ability to read and follow planogram guides and merchandise presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; handle payments and bag merchandise.
• Stock, restock and rotate merchandise; build displays and maintain clean store environment.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager; perform duties as assigned.
