Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help implement planograms while supporting store leadership in daily operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred; strong communication and basic cash handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Ability to perform basic cash handling and register procedures.
• Willingness to operate a cash register and customer-facing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment from customers and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager and assist in other duties as needed.
