Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and help maximize store profitability while protecting company assets.

You may act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager is absent. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent and preferred supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, stock merchandise and rotate on shelves.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties typically performed by the Store Manager in their absence.
