Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the register, stock shelves, and help maximize store profitability while protecting assets.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and some supervisory experience; the role involves rotating merchandise, opening/closing duties, and contributing to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Follow store processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, stock merchandise, rotate displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager; perform duties in their absence.
