Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate products, and assist with displays.

In the absence of the Store Manager, you act in a lead capacity to protect assets and maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
