Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist with store housekeeping and displays.

In the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, you will perform leadership duties and supervise team members, while ensuring safety, planograms, and efficient checkouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
