The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an Engineering Technician III (S) to lead roadway and structure inspections in the Weaverville area. You will monitor contractor operations, review test reports, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and permits.

You will also perform contract administration tasks, oversee pay records and monthly estimates, and train lower-level technicians while coordinating with engineers, contractors, and utilities.

Qualificações

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Survey Technology.
• Three years of progressive technician experience.
• Ability to interpret contracts, plans, and NCDOT specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Lead roadway/structure inspections and verify conformance to specs.
• Perform contract administration duties including pay records and monthly estimates.
• Train lower-level technicians and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and utilities.
• Monitor safety, plan revisions, and ensure permits and DBE requirements.
