Job summary

Woonsocket-Health- in Woonsocket, RI seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead a nursing unit on the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). This full-time role directs resident care, mentors staff, and ensures safety and quality of care.

The RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications and IV therapy, develop care plans, document thoroughly, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams while communicating with residents and families with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Must hold a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• IV certifications are preferred.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting, is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of nursing best practices and state/federal healthcare regulations.
• Commitment to high-quality, person-centered care for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy in line with physician orders and policies.
• Care Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary care plans; transcribe physician orders; coordinate with departments.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and infection control standards.
• Resident & Family Communication: Act as primary point of contact, educate and support residents and families with compassion.
