Helia Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and deliver high-quality patient care. You will guide LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to standards and policies while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

The role emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, and effective communication with residents, families, and the care team to maintain comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• A current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Ability to read and interpret journals, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to write nursing notes, reports, and procedures clearly.
• Ability to interact confidently with leadership, residents, families, physicians, and the public.
• Continuation Education (CE) to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Observing, assessing, documenting, and communicating changes in resident conditions.
• Administering medications and treatments as a clinical professional.
• Transcribing and carrying out physician orders accurately.
• Implementing and evaluating care plans for residents’ wellness and comfort.
• Directing CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care per policy.
• Rounding with CNAs before shift end to ensure order.
• Providing thorough handoffs to oncoming staff every shift.
