Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret journals, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to write nursing notes, reports, and procedures clearly.
• Ability to interact with leadership, residents, families, physicians, and the public.
• Commitment to continuing education and licensure maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.
• Deliver resident care per high standards of practice.
• Observe, assess, document, and communicate changes in resident conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Receive and carry out physician orders.
• Develop and evaluate care plans for resident wellness.
• Direct CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care.
• Perform admissions, pain evaluations, and required documentation.
• Notify physicians and families of significant health changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with light housekeeping.
• Coach and evaluate team members.
• Maintain attendance and uphold abuse policy.
