Job summary

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, with leadership experience in long-term or geriatric care, and a demonstrated ability to balance empathy with accountability, while guiding staff through daily

Qualifications

• Illinois RN license required.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department operations and support residents, staff, visitors, and families.
• Ensure nursing care meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Recognize and respond to residents’ clinical needs with urgency.
• Supervise wound care, dressing changes, and wound management program.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and document care.
• Schedule and conduct resident rounds to ensure quality, especially wound care.
• Make prompt, accurate nursing assessments and care decisions.
• Support medication administration and nursing services per care plans.
• Maintain timely charting and documentation; ensure accuracy of forms.
• Assist with evaluations of potential residents to meet care needs.
• Maintain open communication with Medical Director to align programs with resident needs.
• Work to minimize stress and drama while supporting residents, team, and operations.
