Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with leadership, residents, families and physicians.
• Ability to read and interpret journals, policies and regulations.
• Willingness to attend CE to maintain licensure.
• Ability to write nursing notes and reports clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.
• Observe, assess, document, and communicate changes in resident conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as a clinical professional.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders accurately.
• Implement and evaluate care plans for resident wellness and comfort.
• Direct CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care per policy.
• Admit residents, perform pain evaluations, and complete required documentation.
• Notify physicians and families of significant health changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with housekeeping as needed.
• Coach team members and support professional growth.
