Job summary

MEI in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Rigger/Lead Rigger/Foreman to set up, assemble, and disassemble rigging for moving machinery and equipment. You will select gear, ensure safety, and coordinate with team during hoisting and positioning.

This is a hands-on, physical role requiring the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and supervise others when needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or manuals.
• Must follow safety requirements and PPE.
• Correctly estimate weight-bearing ability of tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of hand/flag signals and communication.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect rigging materials for safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Use hand/power tools to attach loads to rigging.
• Select gear according to load weights/sizes and job specs.
• Signal with workers during hoisting and movement.
