Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Salisbury, MA is seeking a Rigger/Millwright to set up, assemble, or disassemble rigging and relocate machinery. You will select gear based on weight, size, and movement, operate hand and power tools, and communicate signals to coworkers to ensure safe operations.

This full-time role requires vigilance, reading blueprints, and following safety protocols. Candidates should have a HS diploma, the ability to follow directions, and a valid driver's license; advanced roles

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to take direction and closely follow instruction.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Must be able to read or use a tape measure, levels, calipers & gauges, use welding and cutting tools, as necessary.
• Correctly estimate weight-bearing ability of tools and equipment.
• Willing to learn, know, and follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test rigging materials to ensure safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Use hand and/or power tools to attach loads to rigging and provide support.
• Select appropriate gear according to load weights and sizes and job specifications.
• Signal or verbally communicate with workers to ensure safety during hoisting and moving loads.
• Move or support materials and heavy equipment using rigging lines and hoists.
• Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or aerial lifts.
