Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking an experienced Rigger to set up, assemble, or disassemble rigging and secure machinery for relocation. You will select gear by load, communicate clearly with the team, and ensure safe operation in sometimes harsh environments.

The role requires 3–5 years of rigging experience, the ability to supervise others, and adherence to safety protocols with PPE. CDL may be required for certain positions, and training will cover advanced rigging practices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Willing to learn, follow safety requirements, and wear PPE as needed.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and/or endorsements may be required for certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test rigging materials to ensure safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Use hand and/or power tools to attach loads to rigging and move or secure machinery.
• Select appropriate gear (cables, pulleys, vices, winches) based on load sizes and work area.
• Signal or communicate with team during hoisting and moving operations.
• Move heavy equipment using rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear.
• Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts or aerial lifts.
