Job summary

Metrea Advanced Signals LLC is seeking a Principal RF Engineer to own the RF front-end design for an ISAC DT&E platform. You will manage the signal chain from antenna ports through the analog-digital interface, collaborating with the antenna team to ensure coherent phase and impedance interfaces.

The role is hands-on and involves trade studies, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication oversight, and bench validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years designing RF hardware in radar/EW/communications or similar.
• Experience owning RF subsystems end-to-end from architecture to test.
• Proficiency in RF circuit simulation and measurement.
• Strong communication of trade-offs and results to RF and non-RF engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the RF front-end architecture for the DT&E platform, including topology and interface definitions.
• Design modular receive/transmit chains: LNAs, PAs, switching, filtering, conversion, synthesis.
• Develop LO distribution and phase-coherent architectures across frequency regimes.
• Coordinate with antenna engineer to translate impedance data into matching networks.
• Lead RF PCB design end-to-end: stack-up, impedance, co-simulation, packaging.
• Collaborate with digital engineers on the analog-digital interface and calibration procedures.
• Define RF test procedures for front-end and system-level verification.
• Lead design reviews and establish RF design standards within RADLAB.
