Job summary

E-Space in California is seeking a Senior RF Front-End Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and verify flight RF front-end electronics for spacecraft phased-array antennas and satellite communication systems. You will own end-to-end RF hardware from concept through prototype, bring-up, validation, and release.

The role requires hands-on ownership, experience with RF chain design, and RF simulation/tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years experience; or a Master's with 6+; or a Ph.D. with 4+.
• Hands-on ownership of RF front-end hardware from design to verification.
• Strong RF fundamentals: S-parameters, impedance matching, transmission lines, noise figure.
• Experience with RF electronics for phased arrays, beamforming, or satellite communications.
• Experience with RF simulation and schematic/PCB tools; hands-on RF lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Own RF front-end hardware from requirements to release.
• Design transmit/receive chains using PAs, LNAs, filters, mixers, synthesizers.
• Perform RF cascade analyses for gain, noise, linearity, EIRP.
• Define components specs considering space environment.
• Design transmission lines, stackups, grounding and shielding.
• Develop RF/mixed-signal boards with ADCs/DACs as needed.
• Plan RF characterization with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, meters.
• Support environmental qualification testing for spaceflight hardware.
• Document analyses and present design reviews.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, digital, mechanical teams.
• Mentor engineers and establish repeatable RF practices.
