Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock shelves, and support store leadership in daily operations.

The role involves leading in the absence of Store Manager, opening/closing duties, and ensuring planograms are followed. Strong communication and math skills, plus ability to lift up to 40 pounds, are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and provide change.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate stock; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
