Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first approach. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, clean the store, and support store leadership in daily operations.

You will perform duties of a Sales Associate and act as a lead in the absence of the Store Manager. Strong communication and math skills, plus ability to follow planograms, are essential.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms.
• Ability to perform basic math including percentages.
• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise; build displays; restock and rotate according to planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash; dust and mop floors; maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager guidance.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store/Assistant Store Manager.
