Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. The role includes assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, and supporting store leadership in the absence of the Store Manager.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and supervisory exposure; strong cash handling, planogram, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Ability to perform cash handling procedures and operate IBM cash registers.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices; strong interpersonal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays according to planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash, floors, restrooms and stockroom, and assist in sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties as requested in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
