Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, provide exemplary customer service, and protect company assets while maximizing profitability.

As part of daily duties, you will unload trucks, stock and rotate merchandise, operate the cash register, greet customers, and maintain a clean, organized store. This is a full-time role based in Georgia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed store process.
• Stock merchandise and build merchandise displays; rotate and face shelves.
• Operate cash register and total customer purchases; bag merchandise.
• Greet customers and provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of the Area Manager; handle refunds and deposits.
• Maintain cashier accountability and cash control procedures; monitor cash levels.
