Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a proactive Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and leadership in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and provide exceptional customer service while ensuring plan‑o‑grams and programs are correctly implemented.

Your role includes operating the register, handling cash, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Retail or cashier experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and assist with locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases and bag items.
• Provide excellent customer service and support store safety.
