Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC seeks a Lead Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will train new hires, mentor staff, and serve as a subject matter expert while ensuring accurate documentation, billing, and compliance with HIPAA.

The role requires equipment troubleshooting, PAP setup, follow-up visits, and strong communication with patients and clinical teams. Occasional travel within the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Medicare or insurance billing preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory staff to provide patient equipment instruction and service.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks.
• Conduct follow-up calls/visits for optimal care outcomes.
• Maintain documentation for compliance and billing; HIPAA compliant.
• Lead and mentor team; handle escalated issues and drive process improvements.
• Travel within service area using personal vehicle as needed.
