Job summary

Mercy Health’s Memorial Regional Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for PRN shifts. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate respiratory therapies, including ventilator care, bronchodilator delivery and airway management, while educating patients and staff.

You will serve as a preceptor when needed and ensure safe, evidence‑based care in a high‑acuity environment, with required licenses and a strong focus on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in data interpretation and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
• Educate patients and staff, and document in patient records.
