Job summary

Mercy Health in Kings Mills Hospital seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide respiratory care, assess patients, plan interventions, and educate patients and staff. You may act as shift Charge Therapist, coordinating staffing and coverage for the unit, and support physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy assistance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy, active licensure in the state, NBRC credentialing, and hands-on experience with a range of respiratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Two years of experience as Respiratory Care Professional.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders, including oxygen, aerosolized meds, and ventilator care.
• Serve as shift Charge Therapist to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
• Perform procedures like bronchoscopy assistance and airway management.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and home care where applicable.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and supplies.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts.
