Job summary

Washington State University invites applications for the Assistant Director of Residence Life in Pullman, WA. This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to the Director and supervising Residential Education Directors; you will coordinate desk operations across up to 12 residence halls and oversee staff training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Four years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including at least one year of managerial experience.
• Substitution: Master’s degree may replace up to one year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• supervise Residential Education Directors and, through live-in professional staff, paraprofessional staff.
• coordinate desk operations across up to 12 residence halls.
• plan and deliver staff training initiatives.
• oversee and advise about three departmental committees annually.
• provide support during student emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.
• liaise with designated university partners and handle daily administrative tasks.
