The Opportunity: As the Residential Education Director, you will serve in a full-time, 10.5-month, live-in professional role overseeing the management of a residence hall community ranging from 145 to 600 residents. In this position, you will provide leadership and supervision to paraprofessional staff while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential experience. Depending on your hall assignment, you may administer special programs such as academic initiatives, themed communities, living-learning communities, and Honors programs; adjudicate housing policy and contract violations; provide personal support and guidance to residents; coordinate educational and social programming; and manage budgets. You will also play a key role in community development, advise hall government organizations, respond to crises, facilitate conflict resolution, participate in committees and collateral assignments within Student Affairs, and fulfill emergency on-call responsibilities.
Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), Temporary position. This position is overtime exempt. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on May 20, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Salary: $4,613.82
On-Call Stipend $250.00
Perquisite Allowance: $1,798.00
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
