ABB Inc. is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to lead engineering activities for substation protection & control/automation systems.

This is a full-remote position with preference for candidates in Northern California; you will develop documentation, perform analyses, and ensure compliance with standards while coordinating with project teams. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in protection & control, ability to read one-lines and schematics, proficiency

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in protection & control projects for utility customers.
• Ability to read, correctly interpret, and apply electrical one-lines, schematics, and instruction manuals.
• Proficient software experience should include Easy Power, SKM Powertools, ETAP, Aspen, and EMTP.
• PE License in California required.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage engineering design activities for protection & control systems in utility, industrial, and commercial substations.
• Develop engineering documentation and analyses to support standards-compliant designs.
• Manage project materials and design packages, provide status updates and coordination with teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and industry standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
