Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5–7 years in quarry operations with 3+ years in supervisory/engineering role.
• Technical: bench design, blasting, quarry planning, resource management, block interpretation, material quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop mining strategies to optimize extraction and extend quarry life.
• Design and monitor bench geometry for stability and safety.
• Manage and interpret block models to align with plant needs.
• Conduct sampling and quality control to meet specs.
• Plan and supervise blasting operations with safety and cost focus.
• Use quarry software and 3D tools to prepare models and drawings.
• Oversee topographic surveys and maintain quarry maps.
• Collaborate with processing plants for material quality and volumes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regs.
• Train and mentor quarry staff in best practices.
