Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a Quarry Manager to ensure safe and efficient mining operations and initial crushing stages in compliance with permits. Lead a team of hourly staff and direct reports, focusing on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement to supply rock for manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and contractors, develop short- and long-term strategies, monitor performance, and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a mining operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the extraction, processing, and distribution of materials from the mine site with safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and contractors on mining projects.
• Develop short- and long-term strategies to optimize reserves and operations.
• Develop targeted training programs to improve operator performance.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate data records.
