Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in the United States seeks a Propulsion Systems Project Engineer to lead a team of PO and ETG engineers, evaluating, certifying, and providing mission assurance for propulsion systems used on National Security Space Launch missions for Space Force.

You will mentor and develop engineering staff, coordinate with Space Force, SpaceX, Blue Origin and suppliers, and ensure on-budget, on-schedule execution across Falcon and New Glenn propulsion programs.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Current DOD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizenship required for clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities related to propulsion design, analysis, testing, certification, and mission assurance for large launch vehicle motors, engines, and stage propulsion systems.
  • Manage ETG technical studies to assure integrity, reliability, performance, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with program office staff responsible for structures, GNC, avionics, systems, etc.
  • Support management and systems engineering activities as needed.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, updates, and documents in support of program activities and Aerospace processes.
